I’ll be making this gluten free, probably with doves farm bread flour as I find that works the best as a straight swap (it’s also what I use in the pancake recipe). Also, what do we think about a little creme fraiche/ice cream/mascarpone (?!) on the side? Probably unnecessary but I’m planning on making this for my sisters birthday and feel this might elevate it into birthday cake territory… Can’t wait!

If your berries are larger, 1 cup will weigh less than with 1 cup smaller berries.

I wouldn’t because the juiciness of the berries is essential to having the right moisture level in the cake. But you might start with this Cannoli Pound Cake and lean into the chocolate chips, feel free to skip the other flavorings.

I used a serrated to gently get through the top crust without ripping it up.

I followed the directions to a ‘t’. It was a breeze to make and was so delicious. I will definitely make it again (and again and again).

However, I had trouble getting neat slices. The sugar topping is delicious, but I think that was the problem. What sort of knife did you use for slicing?

The video or photo would be great. I suck @ parchment paper so anything helps!

I’ve made this 5 times now, once with raspberries, once with raspberries and blueberries and three times with just blueberries. This is the best quick bread I have ever made. Thank you!

Could I skip berries and add chocolate chips? Love chocolate chip muffins. What do you think?

By weight I’d have far fewer than the 2 1/4 cups it calls for. I decided to use the cups measurement instead.. just wondering why it’s so far off? I’d say 320 g is maybe 1 1/2 cups blueberries with my berries.
